The US Embassy must have several things in order to grant us a visa for Yosef. They have the court decree (legal papers stating he is legally ours), his passport, and birth certificate. Tomorrow he goes for his medical appointment to be tested for TB. That test will be read on Monday and we will have his medical report to submit which is the final item. Hopefully all that can be submitted late next week. Once it's submitted, the Embassy notifies us within 48-72 hours that we have clearance to come get his visa and we schedule an appointment with them to go to the Embassy with Yosef.
Once we have that appointment scheduled, we know when to leave! Our clearance could come as early as August 15 (his birthday) but without divine intervention, it will likely not happen before that. If for some reason his medical report is delayed and the submission is delayed, hopefully we will get clearance the next week. Either way, we hope to be on our way back to him within the month!!
