This morning around 9am we reached our goal of $8,000! Praise the Lord!

The Facebook conversation began with Rob on July 31st and on August 6th we uploaded the video. As on August 10th with a little over 60 donations, we have reached $8,000 in 4 days.  To God be the glory is all we can say.  We are humbled and in awe.

I told Josh last week that I definitely have the faith of a mustard seed - bigger I feel like.  I felt like I was 98% sure God was going to have this and provide somehow.  But 2% of me was scared, what if He chooses not to.  And then he blows our minds in 4 days!

So now what - we hope that Yosef gets his TB test read tomorrow and that his medical report can be completed that he is healthy and can travel to the USA.  That should get submitted Thursday to the Embassy and we wait for an email from the Embassy to give us clearance to travel and set up an appointment to get his visa.  I think our agency will let me know when it is submitted for sure. That clearance could come as soon as Friday (his birthday!) or sometime the week of the 18th. We have to wait on that before we buy airline tickets.

So we hurried up, and now we wait...AGAIN.  But at least we have the money ready to buy plane tickets for both of us and not just one of us.  THAT is huge and quite the relief.

In the meantime we are still renovating like crazy at this house.  Painting walls, painting furniture, unpacking boxes, building walls, adding plumbing, filters, adding lights, adding shades/curtains, puttying holes, building new stairs, and on and on and on.  The plan is to work ourselves silly so we sleep all the way to Ethiopia on the plane! Gotta get it done NOW!
