We know that God wants this adoption to happen. He wants Yosef to be in our home and to know that we love him and that more importantly his heavenly Father loves him and created him. He has shown us this over and over by coming through to reveal HIS glory, not ours. We are so thankful we have been able to hold and kiss our little man already.
We are down to the LAST leg of this four year race we have run. To be honest, we are overwhelmed in good and bad ways. Overwhelmed with gladness because we have a NEW SON!!! Overwhelmed in other ways by how to get there and back for this last leg. Our agency estimated we should save $8-10K for travel for both trips back in 2010 when we started. Well, last week in July 2014, each round trip ticket to Africa was $2500! It may be cheaper when you have more than 8 days notice, but that's a different story. That was 5,000 out of our savings fund which has thus depleted quickly as costs have gone up over 4 years.
Nevertheless, we know that God will provide a way for us to get Yosef home when we get the call in the next weeks. All we are waiting on is the US Embassy to give us an appointment and off we go again. We are just waiting to see how it's going to happen. We know that when it does it will be from God and not of us so HE is glorified and not us.
Please pray with us as we wait for God to show up and make this happen. Yosef's birthday is August 15. We know God can get him home before then but if He chooses not to, the airlines will make you buy a ticket for a 2 year old.
