Pre - Adoption Immigration Review is what PAIR stands for. Our adoption agency submitted all our paperwork along with Yosef's today to USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services). This something that Ethiopia just recently implemented for all adoptions so all the timetables are a bit uncertain. They are conducting an investigation just to make sure everything is good and ethical. We will be waiting to receive a letter from them in the mail before moving to the next step of sending the letter to Ethiopia to get a court date!! Our agency has told us to expect this to take 8-12 weeks.
That's another step closer...
