You may remember that awhile back we opened up our gender to boy or girl and we have decided to edit the age also from 0-12 months to 0-23 months. If we open it up to 24 months then we have to edit our home study and Citizenship and Immigration Approval so we are staying with 23 months. However in addition to this change when anyone in our agency potentially adopts a child older than 18 months, you have to attend a 2 day training at our agency in Fort Worth, Texas. We hope to go before the end of the year. It's frustrating because it's more expenses but it will be nice to meet all the people we've been working with for almost 3 years. I heard on KLOVE this morning that if it's God's will it's on God's bill. So we are trusting He will help us make this happen.
In terms of waiting it looks like we have 18 families waiting ahead of us. We know 4 of those are for siblings but we don't know anything else about what age/gender they are waiting for. The average right now for referrals is one a month which means if it stays the same pace then we are probably waiting another 18-19 months. But we keep praying it speeds up!!! Please pray that with us. Of course, there is the chance it could slow down too, but we won't think about that unless it happens. No need to worry.
Our agency said their in country staff has 22 pending referrals which is encouraging since we are #19 but "pending" is such a loose word. That could mean they are ready soon or not soon- there really is no definite time frame associated with pending. BUT we choose to see that as a tiny light at the end of a long tunnel so we will rejoice for that.
That's pretty much all for now.
It is very good to hear from you. I have always been told that , "no news is good news", but that doesn't make your wait any easier. You know it will happen, when it does, you will say - It was worth it.

We are always thinking about you guys and your adoption. When I pray for my fellow "waiting" friends, I always lift up the Cox family and Baby Cox in Ethiopia. I truly do hope that things speed up. I know it has been agonizing to be in this process for so long now. You are not forgotten, though!
