Verse

I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you (Matthew 17:20).

What's going on

Right now we are waiting to go to our appointment at Citizenship and Immigration Services in Charlotte on Tuesday.  That's our next big milestone.  We will then get a letter from them for approval which will put us on the actual waitlist for a baby.  We have to be in Charlotte by 8am (leaving here around 530am to make sure we don't hit traffic).

This week I (Amy) have been working with Eric, our talented friend, to design some flyers for the spaghetti dinner and photography fundraiser.  I've been calling gas stations about putting fundraisers on their signs, faxing radio stations to run public service announcements, and mailing out flyers.

Josh has completed our first grant application for Steven Curtis Chapman's fund - showhope.org.  We won't have many more to complete right now as most organizations want you to wait to apply after you get your referral.  This is super frustrating because once we get our referral and accept it, then time really begins to tick on the money end.  We want to raise as much money as possible and know that it is sitting there waiting for us to pay our bills and not be frantic when a bill comes.  But, we are trying to trust that God knows best and will see us through.

One of Josh's awesome friends from college has offered to let us use his hotel points when we travel to Ethiopia.  Hopefully this would enable us to stay for free for at least one of the trips which is HUGE!  6 nights in a hotel we will take any day!!!  Thanks friend - you know who you are :)

Kate from KBS Dossiers who is authenticating all the super official papers in our dossier for us has finished.  She is so thorough and has caught a few typos or transposed numbers that we have been able to easily fix now so it doesn't slow our process down anymore later on.  Once we get our letter from CIS for approval, I will send it to her and then waitlist here we come!!!
